Ways to Volunteer
Build Site Volunteers
Habitat homes are built mostly by the hands of volunteers. There is no requirement to have any construction skills, as there will be experienced personnel available to teach others.
Safety gear, equipment, and water is provided by Preble County Habitat for Humanity.

ReStore Volunteers
In our ReStore, volunteers can help by unloading donations, stock/inventory, cleaning, helping customers, and running the store checkout.
We need multiple ReStore volunteers each day we are open.

Family Advocates
Family advocate volunteers will work directly with families in the Buy A Home program. These volunteers have the responsibility to build a strong relationship with the family and meet regularly. The family advocate helps educate the family about mortgages, financial well-being, social services available, and the responsibilities of home ownership.

You can also ask your employer if they provide any volunteer days and see about using your volunteer day(s) to work with Preble County Habitat for Humanity. Even better, you can ask to start a team building volunteer day open to other employees at your company.

Can I just show up to volunteer?
Help us be better prepared on build sites and ReStore planning by letting us know that you want to volunteer ahead of time. You can do this by submitting a contact form with your volunteer interests.
